About The Role

Take2 AI is looking for a Founding Engineering Lead to become part of our founding team. We are on a mission to reinvent how companies recruit & train talent for high-volume sales roles. We’ve recently closed our $3M seed round from world-class Future of Work investors, and are now gearing up to take our product to the next phase!

The person who fills this role will take a position of leadership in our engineering team, ensuring we build our product in an exceptional & scalable way. Our leadership team is comprised of Stanford GSB & Engineering alums with deep expertise in AI, a prior exit under our belt and experience building & scaling products at Microsoft.

In Terms of Experience

  • You have 5-10 years of experience in software engineering.
  • You have experience building and scaling a SaaS product in an early stage VC backed startup OR have built out products from scratch working in large tech companies, including deploying and managing scalable services.
  • You have prior experience with MEAN/MERN stack.
  • You have managed engineering teams in the past but also love getting your hands dirty.
  • You understand how to vet and hire engineering talent. As part of the role, you will take ownership of hiring the technical team and setting the DNA of the organization.
  • You have strong intuition on system design and have solid experience with setting up and maintaining engineering systems and pipelines including CI/CD and telemetry.
  • You have experience integrating LLM models into meaningful workflows.
  • You have extensive experience with cloud technologies on cloud providers such as AWS or Azure.

What You Will Do

  • Set up a scalable architecture for our product offering and migrate the existing solution to the cloud.
  • Collaborate with engineers to implement front-end & back-end components as required.
  • Put systems in place to efficiently manage engineering processes and resources.
  • Stay closely in the loop with the founders and determine the engineering roadmap.
  • Support with the expansion of our engineering team and hire outstanding engineers.
  • Manage the engineering org, maintaining strict quality standards.

Interview Process

📞 Intro call with the founders

  • This stage is a more informal call to get to learn more about the role, and for you to evaluate whether it’s a good fit for you.

👩🏽‍💻 Technical Screen

  • Technical interview in which you'll be asked basic programming questions, advanced programming questions, and system design questions.

🏃🏽‍♂️ Sprint - In Person

  • This will be a 1-day sprint in which we'll learn how we work together as a team, taking on a small project together. If you have other obligations we can adjust this criteria. Ideally this will be in person, however, we understand if remote is the only option. You will be compensated for your time!
